It's been nearly two months ?!

Back at the univeristy and feeling somewhat less lonely, but still as single.

Aside from a professor that reminds me far too much of the teacher in the snoopy cartoons all is well.

Going for foodstuffs now, will return this evening perhaps.

Worried about the rent situation for school, one of the roomies is looking like he's about to be a bastard and not pay on time.

Which means I can't move in on time.

Otherwise just passing time untill school starts.

Meh.

I've been bored enough that I've ressurected my WoW account, but even that level of herion laced monopoly is getting old.

Can't wait till school starts.

Overall, I give it a solid B, not the best of the series, and relativly few actual surprising revealations.

We learned things about snape we suspected the entire time, just in more detail.

I was slightly pleased Dumbledore turned out to be a bastard manipulating Harry though, well, up untill that got canceled out by his posthumous appearance.

And Harry should learn to stay dead when he dies, it realy nulls a heroic death if you come back.

Part of the reason I don't like alot of RPG settings with ressurection right and left.

Also, Albus Severus Potter, you sound like you were named by a fanfic, punch your dad when you get older.

Nassau: its strange thinking that I have spent less than a day really with you in person, but even the sound of your voice still makes me feel better, less alone.

Recently I've been coerced into watching a few episodes of Queer as Folk, a series I have avoided up until now as yet another attempt at using homosexuality as a gimmick to boost ratings.

I'm still unconvinced, still, I will give a few more episodes a try, when I'm less sleepy.

What it did bring to mind however was how sick I am of our modern usage of sexual preference as a way of defining someone.

Disclaimer: The following is rantish and largly unimportant in the greater scheme of things. I am not actualy suggesting the abandonment of the Gay/Bi/Straight system of sexual preferance identification, only that I feel people take it too far sometimes.

Plus this is a blog, I'm supposed to bitch whine and moan.

Consider the following statements:

A: "(insert name here) feels sexual attraction towards members of his own sex"
B: "(insert name here) is a homosexual"

A tells you exactly one thing about the person, anything else would be wanton speculation.

B however identifies the person as part of a group, his sexuality is now something larger than himself.

Even worse is the phrase Sexual Orientation, as if sexuality was an arrow in need of a direction to point.

Two directions at once if they let you choose Bisexual

My sexuality points in many directions, I find at least five physical archetypes pleasing, some favor one sex, others not so much. And my views of gender are fuzzy at best once you step beyond the very basics of human anatomy.

Pansexual?

The list of terms grows.

When we have produced a comprehensive list, there will be more labels than people to put them on.

Ironically I find myself rather fond of the origins of the term Gay as it applies to non-heterosexuality.

Cheerfully unrestricted by social mores, sleeping with whom one pleases.

Semi-related note: In my field of study, normal means perpendicular.

I've not been doing much but lounging around and pining for people of late. That needs to stop.

Going to try to get in contact with Nicole before too long, as soon as I can get her number.

Working some more on my Nerf gun also, the Smooth Operator will dominate next semester even if his wielder does not.

The entries seem to prefer to be written in fragments, most curious.

I've been a bit 'man hungry' as of late, this is likely a result of the near impossibility of sateing such a hunger at the moment.

Rural PA is great for scenery and peace, not so good for scouting out some boy love.

Going to be glad to be back at school in a few months.

In other news: the 4th looks to be a bit lazy this year.
The drunken use of explosives will likely have to wait till bonfire day this year.

Gives me more time to get ready at least.

So yes, me and Nassau won't be dating any more… this makes me a sad panda.

However, after some introspection, and crying out the excess emotion, I'm not losing much of what was really important between us.

Although I must morn for a sea of could-have-beens, many of them quite beautiful.

We're still going to be friends and hang out, although my chances of getting into her pants are now greatly reduced. Not that they would fit anyway.

The tears are gone now, replaced only by a splitting headache.
